Lures and Techniques: Green Pumpkin Senkos
I dropped the Commander into one of my favorite little lakes to target more of the first wave of spawning bass. Classic sight fishing. Standing up and paddling my boat, my eyes are glued to the water line. Locating the fish early is critical; too close and you will surely spook the fish. The best bet is to find the fish, back off as far away as you can cast accurately, and present the lure with stealth. Three of my fish came from beds using this method. The last, a dock post hugger, could not resist the wiggle of a falling Senko.
